South Orange and Maplewood have a combined, highly-rated school district that celebrates diversity and equality. Columbia High School was named one of the most influential public high schools in the United States by Academic Influence.  According to the school district’s website, “the diverse student body is recognized annually for academics, championship athletic programs, award-winning fine and performing arts programs, high school publications, and robotics team.”
